UNTITLED GIRL NARRATIVE tells the story of three young people coming of age, spotlighting Queer Love through the challenges faced in today's America.
UNTITLED... tells the story of three young people ("X", "Y" and "Z") and depicts their exploration of identity, including gender, orientation, citizen versus immigrant status, and shows these young people embracing their power and autonomy as BIIPOC LGBTQ+ persons, following their journey of self discovery as they navigate childhood and adolescence in today's America.
Katharine Pettit Creative - KPC was one of 500 New York City-based artists to receive $5,000 through the City Artist Corps Grants program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre.
KPC was recognized for UNTITLED GIRL NARRATIVE and showcased excerpts of our work on Governors Island, NYC in partnership with West Harlem Arts Fund & Visual Muze Storytelling residency throughout August and September 2021.
In partnership with the Episcopal Actors Guild Open Stage Grant Spring 2022, KPC
premiered UNTITLED GIRL NARRATIVE as our work in progress at Guild Hall in Chelsea, NY.
Coming up, KPC returns to Governors Island in residency with West Harlem Art Fund August 2022, followed by the return of UNTITLED GIRL NARRATIVE to the stage at Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning Black Box Theatre, September 1st and 4th, 2022, through JCAL's Building Equity Initiative.
